Signal Peak is the high point of the Kofa Mountains, a range within the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge known for its jagged, volcanic remnant peaks. A use trail goes all the way from Kofa Queen Canyon Road to the summit, keeping things Class 2. Ten Ewe Mountain is a short Class 3 detour from Signal Peak and offers great views of the southern reaches of the range. To get to the Signal Peak Trailhead from US Route 95, head east along Palm Canyon Road for 3.4 miles then turn left onto Kofa Queen Canyon Road. The road deteriorates as it enters the canyon (about 4 miles from the trailhead). A 4x4 vehicle with durable tires should do the job.
